Joe Havansek

Ardent Advisor

As a financial advisor with the Moran-Havansek Financial Group, Joe specializes in helping clients pursue their financial goals through practical and personalized financial plans. After eighteen years in the industry, Joe has a wealth of knowledge in investment and retirement planning. Having earned his Retirement Income Certified Professional® designation, Joe is highly qualified to design individual income plans for retirees with the objective of making their assets last as long as they do. Joe is equally adept in many other areas of financial planning as well, including: College Funding, Retirement Plans, Life, Disability and Long-Term-Care insurance. Joe feels that trust and integrity are two of the most important attributes that a planner can have.

Joe spent twelve years working with one of the large life insurance companies as an agent, financial planner, sales manager and trainer. Seven years ago he took a position as a sales manager with another large insurance company. As a sales manager Joe built a team of twenty advisors, winning numerous awards along the way. In 2014 Joe and his current business partner, John Moran founded the Moran-Havansek Financial Group.

As an independent advisor Joe has the freedom to choose the best companies and products for his clients without the influence of a parent company’s oversight. This freedom allows Joe’s clients the flexibility to choose based on a number of factors including adaptability, performance and fees, among others.

Joe has been married for thirty three years to his wife Roxanne. They have two adult daughters and are enjoying their first and expecting their second grandchild.

John Moran

Ardent Advisor

Born and raised in Park Ridge, Illinois, John’s roots run deep in the Chicagoland area. A 1999 graduate of Maine South H.S., he went on to obtain his bachelor’s degree from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. Anyone who knows John wasn’t surprised when he returned to Park Ridge to raise a family and run his business. Don’t be fooled by his age, John has a wealth of experience. He has been a licensed producer in the State of Illinois since 2002, a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) since 2006 and the owner of his own firm since 2007.

As his career has grown, so have his charitable endeavors. John has been on the executive board of organizations that raise money for Lurie Children’s Hospital (Children’s Memorial) and Riley Hospital for Children (Indianapolis). He has been a Child Life volunteer at Advocate Children’s Hospital (Lutheran General) and served on the board of the local Kiwanis chapter.

Currently, John is serving as the Commissioner of the Park Ridge Hawks travel basketball program, a program with over 200 boys and girls involved. John had coached in the program for 10 years prior to becoming the commissioner. He was also a player in the program many years ago.

John and his wife, Alaina, currently have a 3 year old daughter and a 2 year old son, and are expecting a new addition to the family in March 2015. Besides spending time with his family, John also enjoys playing and watching both basketball and golf. He cheers, loyally, for the Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks, and Hoosiers. He cheers, regrettably, for the Cubs. His feelings towards the White Sox are indifferent.

John Moran is licensed to do business in the states of Illinois, Ohio, Minnesota, and Florida.
